Madhan, whose real name is Govinda Kumar, is a famous Tamil cartoonist, journalist, writer and film-critic who works for Ananda Vikatan magazine, a leading Tamil weekly. He also answers to the questions asked from the readers in Hi Madhan in Anada Vikatan which was very informative. He wrote the dialog for Anbe Sivam, a 2003 film in which he also had a brief appearance, and is the author of Vandhargal Vendrargal, an account of Mughal rule in India. He also anchors a movie review programme in Star Vijay television.
