Madeline Mann

Madeline Mann (born June 27, 1989) held the record for being the smallest known premature baby to survive. She was born early at 26 weeks weighing just 9.9 oz (280g) and only 9.5 inches (24cm) long. This record was broken in September 2004 by Rumaisa Rahman who was born in the same hospital.-Rumaisa was a twin where as Madeline was a single birth. Madeline was born at the Loyola University Medical Center and was cared for by a team led by Dr. Jonathan Muraskas. She was able to go home after four months.

Currently, she is a 17 year old Junior honor student in high school. In her spare time she hangs out with her friends, dances, shops, goes to the movies, camps in the summer and is involved in her church youth group. She loves to listen to music, which she says "is her life and her escape." She is also active in the community performing charitable work. Madeline used to horseback ride and play the violin. After school she plans to study to be a high school psychologist.

Although they share the same name, she is not the wife of popular Macintosh writer and podcast producer Merlin Mann.
