[edit] Plot
Fourth and fifth graders from three New York public schools are seen throughout the film learning the ballroom dancing and more about life from the dancing. A principal of one school says, "Ballroom dancing isn't just about the steps, it's about etiquette... it's about life." As the teams get eliminated from the competitions, there are mixed feelings about the others (at one point, a boy says, "I think the other schools danced horribly!") and as the finals grow nearer, the kids truly get to know what it's like to work as a team and how they grow.
