Mad Dog (Robert "Buzz" Baxter) is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics Universe. His first appearance as Mad-Dog was in Defenders vol. 1 #125.

Buzz Baxter is a mercenary and is the former security chief of the Brand Corporation. He also was a colonel in the USAF. He is a former agent of the Secret Empire and also for Roxxon. He directed Mutant Force and is the ex-husband of Patsy Walker. He was mutated by the Brand Corporation.

Although officially the only character to be known as Mad Dog, there have been other characters who has used a Mad Dog type moniker. This include:

  • Peter Parker, who was known as Mad Dog #336 in Amazing Spider-Man vol. 1 #295.
  • Captain Zero was known as Mad Dog #736 in Amazing Spider-Man vol. 1 #295.
  • Brainstorm was known as Mad Dog #2020, also in Amazing Spider-Man vol. 1 #295.
  • In Combat Kelly and the Deadly Dozen #6 there was a character called "Mad Dog" Martin.
  • And is Thor vol. 1 #426, a character called "Mad Dog" Rassitanio appeared.
