Mad'House

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mad'House was a short lived German pop band/project, created solely for re-creating Madonna songs. The group was created by French producers M Bambi Mukendi and Stéphane Durand with Dutch/Turkish singer Buse Ünlü. The name Mad'House is the result of combining the name "Madonna" with the music genre term of "house".

Their first single was a cover version of Madonna's "Like A Prayer" (which incorporated the rhythm of Black Legend's "You See The Trouble With Me", which in turn samples the live version of the song by Barry White) (February 2002) which reached #1 in Germany. It was followed by Absolutely Mad (August 2002) with 14 remakes of Madonna's songs.

The band became a one hit wonder and dissolved soon after the album's release.
