Welcome!
Hello, Machina-x, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!
Regarding your three edits, I believe they were well intentioned, but unfortunantely, incorrect. In your edit to Death Note, you accidently removed a category link that looked like this: [[Category:Manga]]. These links help categorize pages and do not show up on the article, find out more here: Wikipedia:Categorization. Furthermore, linking to an image on Wikipedia is not necessary: you can inline it in the article, find out more here: Wikipedia:Picture tutorial.
Regarding your edit to Fullmetal Alchemist, I appreciate your desire to help interested readers get copies of the manga (indeed, I too have read manga at similar places), it simply is not what Wikipedia is about and is, technically, illegal. Share the links with your friends, but don't post them here.
Finally, your image does not have any license notice on it. In this case, the appropriate template to add is {{Comicpanel}}. However, in the future, you should crop and lower the resolution of images you post.
I don't mean to be overly critical, but this is a bit of a crash course into Wikipedia policy. If you have any more questions, please ask me. I hope you decide to stay. Thanks! — Ambush Commander(Talk) 23:41, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
