My name is Mac and I live in Morley, West Yorkshire, UK. I started editing Wikipedia in December 2005.

My professional work is in the field of educational assessment, particularly regulated qualifications for adult learners in the UK, with a focus on:

• Information Technology qualifications for general users
• the field of e-assessment.

I am also a successful amateur musician. My main performance instrument is the Euphonium but in recent years I have spent more time conducting and directing ensemble and theatrical performances. I have a particular interest in contemporary British repertoire for brass band and symphonic wind ensembles.
