[edit] Statement of fact vs "making a claim"
- Renovations have now been completed, which make Macarthur Square one of the largest shopping complexes in Sydney.
Instead of saying this place is one of the largest in Sydney (without mentioning how much of a comparison that is), it would be better to put in a verifiable statement as to it's floor size / retail capacity / number of cars which can park there or something MEASURABLE.
It's not their aim to be BIG, it's their aim to make a PROFIT. So saying they turned over AUD XXX, for a net profit of AUD YYY, is a better statement then saying they are BIG. But size does point to notability. --Garrie 00:48, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- According to Herron Todd White Property Advisors, the renovations approved by the local council expanded the centre from 29,000 m² to over 90,000 m². (Source). --Canley 15:50, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please improve
Following the AFD debate I posted on every single voters talk page asking for ways to improve this article. I have not yet recieved any suggestions for what I can add to this page to make it notable. My next step is going to be to suggest a merge with Shopping Centres in Sydney, as the article has scarcely changed since the afd debate. --Garrie 01:49, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- The article is fine as it is, and a merge to a list article would be a de facto deletion, and a deliberate attempt to get around the lack of consensus for its actual deletion. Rebecca 04:50, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Travelator?
It says in the article that the complex makes use of lifts and travelators. Now I'm going to assume they mean escalators as these are installed at Macarthur Square. I'm going to change it to excalators as that is what they are commonly known as in Australia.
