[edit] Spelling error or legitimate variant?

This article sometimes uses "Macaense" rather than Macanese. Is this simply an error, or a variant (perhaps the Macanese form itself)? There is a cognate ending "-ense" in Spanish, but I'm not sure about Portuguese or Macanese.--MayerG 15:31, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Macaense is the spelling of Portuguese. There is a band of group of Macanese called "Tuna Macaense" in Macau. See this.--HeiChon~XiJun 17:55, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
    • Indeed. Any occurrences of "Macaense" outside of untranslated →→foreign text (such as titles, org names, and quotations) should be replaced by "Macanese". Jorge Stolfi 18:07, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
