Macrocosm is an episode of Star Trek: Voyager, the 12th episode of the third season.
Captain Janeway and Neelix return from a mission to find the ship in trouble. A huge macrovirus has invaded the ship as result from a mission taken when the two had been gone.
Neelix is soon attacked and infected. Despite this, he manages to somehow abandon Janeway. Janeway finds some of the crew in the Mess Hall, sick and helpless. She makes it to Sickbay, learning what she can from the Doctor. Despite being armed, he is prevented by the macroviruses from leaving Sickbay himself in order to administer a possible cure to the crew. Janeway blasts her way through to the systems required to deliver a gaseous form of the cure. She is also threatened with destruction by aliens who want to destroy the contaminated ship. She manages to talk them into waiting for one hour and successfully rescues her crew.
