Mackie Academy

Mackie Academy is a secondary school in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire. Currently (2007) serving 1200 pupils in Stonehaven and the surrounding district, Mackie Academy was founded in 1893 and burned down in the 1920s. The present school was built in the playing fields of the old school and opened in 1969. The school served a huge geographic area until the opening of Portlethen Academy. The current Rector is Mr. Peter Campbell.^[1]
