Saint Mac Nissi, is the name (after that of his mother, Cnes or Ness) by which Oengus Mac Nissi is known. It is claimed that Saint Patrick baptized him and taught him the psalms. He chose the district of Connor for his hermitage, but later became bishop of his clan. He died early in the sixth century.
