macCompanion is a monthly online computer magazine from the United States. It is usually around 100 pages in length and can be downloaded as a free PDF from the website.
macCompanion is the media arm of the Macintosh Professional Network, LLC that was officially created in September 2001. The magazine morphed from the earlier MacNut magazine that technically began in 2000 with an all-volunteer staff.
Circulation is currently measured by page views of around 2 million per month and download of the PDF version.
The magazine offers monthly column articles by staff members and occasional guests along with book, game, hardware, shareware, software and training reviews, much of it being cross-platform (including non-Mac environments) in nature.
Daily commentary and interesting news items can be found in the macCompanion blog whilst feedback and discussion of other issues can be discussed in the macCompanion forum.
A weekly segment discussing articles that have been reviewed or that will be reviewed in macCompanion is produced as part of the Mac ReviewCast Podcast.
A weekly AudioCast is also produced using digitized voices and is accessible by going to iTunes > Podcasts > maccompanion.
