MacArthur High School (Houston, Texas)

MacArthur High School, located on the north side of Houston, Texas, opened in 1965 as the second high school in the Aldine Independent School District. Long known for the racial and ethnic diversity of its student body, MacArthur is consistently placed in the upper crust in academics, yearly gaining high rankings from the Texas Education Association.

MacArthur's famous graduates include football star Odell James, basketball star Galen Robinson, political scientist David Branham and U.S. Attorney General Albert Gonzales.
