Ma-Me-O Beach, Alberta

Ma-Me-O Beach, Alberta, is a summer village located on a small sandy beach on the southeast shore of Pigeon Lake. It is located approximately 100 kilometres southwest of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The winter population is about 90 people. During the summer months, there could well be over 2000.
The mayor of Ma-Me-O Beach until August 19, 2005 was Roger Vold. Then, until August 2006, Marie Podmore held the position. John Slater is currently the mayor until the election in August, 2007
Staffka Makofka is considered to be the longest-living resident of MaMeO Beach.
Ma-Me-O is Cree for White Bird or White Pigeon.
