M/S Finnmaid (IMO 9319466) is one of the five ROPAX ships ordered by Finnlines from the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, but which have suffered from delays in delivery.
She is used on the Helsinki-Travemünde route.
M/S Finnmaid was forced to drydock in Bremerhaven immediately after the first Travemünde-Helsinki trip due to problems with the bow thrusters of the ship.
On January 4, 2007, a small fire broke out on board while the ship was docked in Helsinki, that seems to have originated, and been contained to one of the bilge pumps on board.[1]
