M.G. Kelly

M.G. Kelly aka "Machine Gun" Kelly (born in 1954 in Ada, Oklahoma) is an actor, disc jockey and radio personality from Los Angeles, California.

Kelly currently hosts two nationally syndicated programs: American Hit List, which plays oldies and classic hits, and The Amazing 80s, which plays pop hits from the 1980s. In addition, Kelly also produces "Back to the '70s," a program dedicated to music of the 1970s hosted by Charlie Tuna. Kelly's production company syndicates these programs throughout the United States while the Da Silva Group Radio Network distributes the shows in Canada.
[edit] Cancelled programs
Kelly hosted the nationally syndicated "Top 30 USA" program for Westwood One in the 1980s, until the network cancelled the show to make way for the hiring of Casey Kasem. He also produced the now-cancelled "Live from the 60s" hosted by "The Real" Don Steele from 1988 to 1993 (the show continued in reruns until 1996).
Kelly rose to fame at 93KHJ radio in Los Angeles in the 1970s and worked in several other stations in the area.

Kelly's acting career includes a typecast role as DJ "Bebe Jesus" in the 1976 version of A Star is Born and the role of Father John Voss in the movie The Enforcer, as well as many television roles. Kelly is also an occasional voiceover personality.
In addition to acting, Kelly served a short stint as game show announcer on the The Pop 'N Rocker Game. Later on, he filled in on Wheel of Fortune, replacing Jack Clark until 1989 when Charlie O'Donnell returned.
