M. S. Viswanathan

M. S. Viswanathan often referred to just as M.S.V., is a prolific film music composer in the Tamil film industry who dominated during the 1960s and 1970s and composed scores for over 1000 films. He often worked with Kavingar Kannadasan, a well-known lyricist. The 1980s brought the acclaimed film composer Ilaiyaraaja into the film industry. He has done collaborative work with Ilaiyaraaja and another heavyweight film composer, A. R. Rahman. Though his days are over as music composer, his tunes are still considered evergreen by many contemporary listeners.
