M. Richard Rose

M. Richard Rose was the 7th president of the Rochester Institute of Technology, succeeding Paul Miller, from 1979-1991. Under Rose's leadership, Eisenhower College was incorporated into RIT, and liberal arts and humanities programs were expanded. The first PhD program (imaging science) was launched during his tenure in 1988.
