An advertisement for the M28 'rescue gun' (rebuild Jarmann M1884) dating from 1930. Copyright most likely expired (older than 70 years), or fair use in accordance with both Norwegian copyright law (Chapter 2, Sect 13) and United States Copyright Act of 1976 section 107.

[edit] Fair use for Jarmann M1884

The image M28 ad (1930).jpg is being linked here; though the picture is originally copyright I (WegianWarrior 00:46, 15 August 2005 (UTC)) feel it is covered by fair use because:

  1. It is a low resulution scan, and can therefore not be used to produse good quality copies of the advertisement.
  2. It is used only for informational and educational purposes only.
  3. It is an advertisement for a product no longer in production, or sale, or that is even legal to sell, so it will not affect the company that produced the advertisement.

In addition, I, the uploader, feels that the scanned copy adds a lot to the article, since it helps the reader visualise the sort of equipment the M28 came with, as well as the method used to promote the M28 harpoon gun. WegianWarrior 00:46, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
