M0 motorway (Hungary)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The M0 motorway is a ringroad around Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The ring presently connects motorways M1, M7, M5, M6 and Highway No. 4; another section is completed between motorway M3 with Highway No. 2/A. The section between Highway No. 4 - Motorway M3, and the northern section, including a bridge over the Danube is under construction. The north-western part cannot be expected to be ready in the next couple of years due to environmental concerns.
Not all sections of the ringroad comply with formal motorway specifications.
Between 2001-2006 an archeological site of great scientific importance was unearthed when building the southeastern sector of the M0 motorway. See: Üllő5
