M-331 is an unsigned state highway located within the city of Kalamazoo. It runs north on Westnedge Avenue from the intersection of Kilgore Road (the Kalamazoo/Portage city limit) to the intersection of Michigan Avenue (EB BL I-94/M-43) downtown. The route also includes Park Street for the northbound lanes from where Westnedge (which carries southbound traffic from downtown) splits into one-way streets. This was one of many highways to be established or realigned as a result of the Rationalization process in 1998.
[edit] Previous designation
The current alignment of M-331 was part of the long-time alignment of US 131 before that highway was relocated onto a freeway west of Kalamazoo in the 1960s.
