M-155 was a state highway that served as a spur route from BL I-96 in Howell in Shiawassee County to the Hilcrest Center, former Howell State Hospital. M-155 was established to serve this former hospital complex. The center closed in 1982 and the buildings were razed several years after, leaving a trunkline that served essentially an empty field. The M-155 shields were removed in 1987, leaving the trunkline as unsigned OLD M-155
