M-142 is a state highway in Michigan. It is a "trans-peninsular" highway crossing the Thumb of Michigan.
- Historical notes: M-142 was originally a part of M-83 in the 1930s. During that same time, M-142 was designated on a road from M-66 south of Lake City eastward for 1 mile.
