I added the version of the story involving the kapa and Haleakalā, and made it first since it's the only one I ever heard in Hawaii. Bruddah Iz knows what he's talking about! Need to get the story of fire with the ʻalae in too, but I'll have to look up the details. KarlM 19:29, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Which of the four brothers?

I first heard the legend of Maui at one of the song contests put on yearly by Kamehameha Schools. But I'm vague from that, and from this page, as to which of the four brothers was the Maui of the legend. I apologize for my ignorance, but I think it would be useful if the page made this clearer.
