[edit] Comments

  • Would it be valid to mention her status as a sex symbol on Fark.com? I know it's somewhat obscure, but I think that the major reason most English-speaking viewers would know of Melissa is through Fark. Still, I'm not sure about it's enyclopedicness.--Benfergy 01:07, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
  • Well, she is mentioned in the Fark.com_clichés page, altough I guess it would be ok to link to the fark.com wikipedia page in the See also section --zamu
  • Something about her rising to fame via the Internet has to be mentioned though. I live in France and only heard of her via an English internet forum!! --- Matt
  • She has crossed into 'pop culture' territory and is deserving of inclusion in here given the # of people searching for her here and on search engines. -- Lemmie
  • Holy crap, she is staggeringly beautiful. Man! - Davis21Wylie 00:56, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
  • I would SOOOOOO hit that! Hottest woman in the world by far. No one else comes close. - UberCryxic 06:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Without makeup, she isn't even remotely as hot. Google for her nude pics and you'll see what I mean :P Kurt 01:48, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
  • There's an added factor in those nude pics: water all over her face and body. Her hair looks like crap in those, that's why she doesn't look as good. Also, it depends on how you want to count female beauty. Do we only analyze natural look or with makeup also? I think we have to go for the latter. Think about it: when we speak about male penis size, we generally mean fully erect. Well, female beauty should be done like that too; consider it when they've got full make up on. When she's got that, she blows away everyone else. It's not even a contest.UberCryxic 20:18, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Um... I disagree. Popping a boner isn't something external. Makeup is. That said, I think she looks pretty good in those nudes. Of course, I think Johanna Klum looks better, but we haven't seen any nudes, at least over on VWvortex, so...--Bhtooefr 15:57, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Ummm ... can we bring it back on topic please? The original question was whether or not it makes sense to mention her fame due to her beauty. Thanks, Hu Gadarn 04:21, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Sorry, just wanted to add that the makeup vs. non-makeup argument is purely cultural, in some countries natural beauty (i.e. without makeup) is seen as being more important. --Delos 04:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
  • "She justified this unprecedented decision by the fear of excessive personal exposure. She is somewhat confirmed in her opinion by the cover of French papparazzi weekly Voici, the very same week, featuring pictures of Mélissa topless at the beach.":When this paragraph says "She is somewhat confirmed in her opinion", what exactly does that mean? It seems to me that should be reworded. 60.241.114.167 12:23, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Not a clue, I think it needs rewording. I have to say how saddened I am that the paparazzi ruined it all for us all by not allowing her to have some privacy. If they hadn't of taken those nude pictures she might be on the main news slot by now. --Delos 04:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Very beautiful indeed, those victoria's secret models cannot speak like her. This is a stunner! CNN needs a deal with LCI to have a french version every night. --Stephenzhu 21:10, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
  • I am little confused, what is the colour of her eyes? --Carl Logan 19:07, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Hazel and sometimes almost with an orange hue, I'd say.
  • Definitely Hazel, but a very light shade. --Delos 04:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Can someone tell me what her tattoo is? :D --Delos 04:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Hands down the hottest thing on two legs walking the planet. No one can hold a candle to

Melissa. Enough said. proserpine March 25, 2007

[edit] Persian origion?

I have heard that she is originally Persian? is it true? does anyone know anything about it?

I haven't, but I'm sure if you could find a reliable source about it, then we can include something on her origin.UberCryxic 21:58, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

If you refer to that comment on one of her videos available on Youtube that is completely false... Theuriau is even a very common typical Arpitan name mentioned in French names genealogic books. On top of that she is Catholic so that sounds all the more unplausible.

[edit] Arpitan personnalities

The Arpitania article on the English wikipedia was incomplete compared to the other version but the map should have put you on the right. It goes as far west in the lands as the "Lyonnais" - around the city of Lyon, France's second biggest city, considered as the traditional Arpitan capital of France- and Forez (mentioned even before our modifications so the mistake could have been avoided...)... Grenoble is definitely an Arpitan city traditionnaly (even in the heart of it) and its inhabitants Arpitans...The approach was wrong. The fact that one can't say because of its western borders that the official Rhône-Alpes région is (totally) a part of Arpitany, is irrelevent in the fact that Grenoble is still very much in the heart of it. Isère (département within Rhône-Alpes) in its whole is Arpitan but the most western part of the Rhône-Alpes régions is mixed between Occitan, Arpitan and what is today called French indeed...
