Méav Ní Mhaolchatha is a singer of traditional Irish music. Méav was born in Dublin, Ireland. She attended Trinity College in Dublin. Méav is one of the original soloists in the Celtic Woman show, and with Celtic Woman, she has been on 3 CDs, Celtic Woman, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration, and Celtic Woman: A New Journey. She took a short break from touring with Celtic Woman for the birth of her first child in 2005. She is going to be featured again in the Celtic Woman tour which begins on February 14th, 2007.
Her international performances include membership as a principal soloist with the world renowned Irish chamber choir Anúna from 1994 to 1998, touring the United States as a soloist with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, touring South Africa with Lord of the Dance, and concerts in Japan and Korea.
