The Lyulin motorway will provide a link between the Sofia ringroad and with the junction of Daskalovo near Pernik. Its construction began in 2007 and is to be finished in 38 months. Its length will be 19km and will cost €148 500 000 because it runs through mountainous terrain and will need many tunnels and viaducts.
