Lynne McGranger

Lynne McGranger (b. January 29, 1955) is an Australian actress best known for her role as Irene Roberts on soap opera Home and Away.

Started as a primary school teacher trained at the Riverina College of Advanced Education in Wagga Wagga N.S.W. where she had her initial actor training. Early roles included Rose in 'Bye By Birdie' and Anita in 'West Side Story.' After further experience with the Q Theatre in Penrith N.S.W. she started working in television when she got a brief appearance in 'The Flying Doctors.' In 1992, she joined the cast of Home and Away as a guest but became a permanent cast member in August 1993. She is a natural blond.

Lynne lives in Sydney and has one daughter named Clancy.

Lynne performs regularly in Pantomimes throughout the UK at Christmas.

Recently in January 2007, she came over to the UK to do a pantomime in Hastings, she played the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. While she was here, she supported her co-star who plays 'Ric Dalby' in the soap at Sopstar Superstar, but unfortunately, he came 3rd place.
