Lynne Ewing

Lynne Ewing is an American author and a screen writer.
She began her writing career at the age of 30 after doing some work for the department of social work in Los Angeles County. Initially, she wrote for documentaries and newspapers. After some time she began work on her first novel, Drive-By. Her second book Party Girl, has since been made into a movie called Living the Life. She has written all 12 of the Daughters of the Moon series as well. She has written a spin-off series from the Daughters of the Moon: Sons of the Dark with a storyline and characters that will be interwoven with those of The Daughters of the Moon series.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. though she has been know to visit many Asian and European countries. She has now relocated to Washington D.C..
She also has a new series coming out the Spring of 2007 called the Sisters of Isis. Sisters of Isis follows three fifteen-year old girls living in modern-day Washington, D.C. Strangers until now, Meri, Dalila, and Sudi are thrown together when they discover they are all descendants of very powerful ancestors--Egyptian pharaohs who vowed to keep the world safe from Chaos. From these ancestors they've inherited magical powers of transformation, the ability to cast spells from the Book of Thoth, and, as they will soon learn, the responsibility of protecting the world from evil and chaos. The first two books in the series are currently titled The Summoning and The Divine One
