Lynn Coulter

Lynn B. Coulter is a writer and lecturer from Georgia. She is best known for her book Gardening with Heirloom Seeds: Tried-and-True Flowers, Fruits, & Vegetables for a New Generation, which was released through the University of North Carolina Press in 2006.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she achieved a bachelor's degree in journalism from Georgia State University before continuing her graduate work there in political science.[citation needed]

Her writing has been featured in a number of publications for children and adults, including Ranger Rick, Family Circle, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Her writing has also earned her some awards, including the Independent Artist Award in Literature from the Georgia Council for the Arts and becoming a Top Ten Finalist in the Pockets Fiction Contest.

Her first book, Gardening With Heirloom Seeds, received critical praise upon its release in June 2006, with Reed Business Information calling the book "a welcome addition to every gardener's bookshelf," and Library Journal stating that the book was "[s]uitable for both the novice and the experienced gardener."

Coulter is married and has one son.[citation needed]
