Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu

In 1986, Linda Chuba Ikpeazu was the first Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant winner and respresented her country at Miss Universe 1987.

Educated in Nigeria and the United States of America, she qualified as a lawyer and at the age of 22, she became the pageant's first winner. She also represented Nigeria in the Miss Africa Intercontinental pageant (later Miss Intercontinental) which took place in Lagos in 1988 and she finished as second runner-up.

Today she is a representative in the National House of Representatives. Ikpeazu started the trend for the domination of Igbo speaking women in the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria pageant.
