Lynbrook is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Casey. Lynbrook is positioned on the [[[South Gippsland Highway]]], 40km south-east of Melbourne CBD, slightly north-west of Cranbourne], and just south of the residential suburb of Hampton Park.
The suburb was developed by VicUrban, starting in 1994. When completed in 2005, Lynbrook will have 1750 households, approx. 5200 residents and a total area of 1.85 square kilometres. A special feature of the VicUrban development is the stormwater catchment which flows into the lake and wetlands where it is purified before being released into Dandenong Creek and into Port Phillip Bay.
Prior to 1994, the area now occupied by Lynbrook was part of Lyndhurst.

[edit] Events
Carols by Candlelight is held every year in December which has a large crowd of local residents that gather under the stars to sing Christmas carols and share a good night out. This culminates in a spectacular fireworks spectacle. This year the Carols were cancelled due to not having enough people needed to run the event. The Carols were going to be held on Saturday 17th December 2006. The LRA hopes that the Carols will be able to run in 2007.
