Lyman Young

Lyman W. Young (1893-1984) was an American cartoonist who created the strip Tim Tyler's Luck. His younger brother Chic Young is the creator of the strip Blondie.
He studied at the Chicago Art Institute and served in World War I before beginning his career as a cartoonist in 1924, taking over C.W. Kahles' cartoon strip 'The Kelly Kids'. He received the National Cartoonists Society Silver T-Square Award in 1977.
