If you are so hellbent on adding the HKDL section in the Frontierland article, get some proper sources. That's all. Tomsintown 22:39, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Getting up to

Hi, nice site.

I just wanted you to check out some of the pages I have written from scratch in the past week or so. I'm pretty proud of them, what do you think?

Did you get my email about the Fantasmic! song? Oh well. I'm going to Disneyland Paris next month, give me a shout if you want anything. Reply soon. --Speedway 18:40, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Help!

Some non-Wikipedian has gone and changed all the Tokyo Disneysea mentions in the Tokyo Disneysea and Tokyo Disney Resort articles to Tokyo DisneySea. I am so annoyed! What do I do apart from the obvious reverting? Shall I post a notice in Talk:Tokyo Disneysea? --Speedway 17:12, Apr 19, 2005 (UTC)

I don't know what your problem is because it was a long time ago when I moved Tokyo DisneySea to Tokyo Disneysea and changed all the mentions of it, and you didn't make any effort to stop me. It makes no difference how many Disney fansites call it Disneysea, it makes no difference if Disney itself as a company calls the park DisneySea because it isn't Disney's decision, the park is called Disneysea. People are confused by the park logo which shows Disney and Sea as two different fonts, and I am guessing that is where a lot of the websites took their information from. I am going to change it back - I actually thought that you would be someone who knew the difference between the two names. --Speedway 15:38, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Lands

I am in the process of setting up a series of articles for the lands of a Magic Kingdom. We already have a Main Street, USA article, and I came across a neglected Tomorrowland article which I cleaned up, so it would be great if we could make an article (or even a stub) for each land. I have made a template to link them together, but I cannot think of a suitable title for the template. The Main Street article is pretty big, but Tomorrowland is in the process of development. Could you help me out with this please? Andy 12:28 17 February 2005 UTC

Great. I'm currently on one of those from school, so our timetables seem to have got a little mixed up. Anyway, you know best on Disneyland so I suppose your expertise would be the Disneyland versions of Fantasy-, Adventure- etc. and Toontown because the Magic Kingdom has the Toontown Fair. I am probably asking too much but could you take some pictures of famous landmarks from each of the lands? If you could do that :O Andy 09:36, 18 February 2005 UTC
I'm struggling with what exactly to write. I can't really include what I know about the differences between lands because I have only visited Florida and Paris, and I am struggling to find historys of lands on the Internet. Help! Andy 19:12, 19 February 2005 UTC
Thanks for the links. EDIT: It seems you went offline as soon just before I posted this! We were online at the same time for a few minutes! Whoa! :P 20:00, 19 February 2005 UTC

[edit] Nice pics

Your disneyland photos are very nice. Could you please tage the images you upload with the licencing information, further details are here Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Thanks --nixie 05:06, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. I have added the GNU tags to my images. Thank you. --Evan Wohrman 05:15, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] PeopleMover

As far as I know, a people mover is typically considered a type of railroad, as is a monorail. --SPUI 06:26, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Yes, well, the PeopleMover was powered by Goodyear tires embedded in the track, therefore, not on a rail. --Evan Wohrman 20:17, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Heh hey!

Hi Evan, long time no speak. I am on Easter half-term vacation for two weeks so just post on my user talk when you are likely to be on MSN Messenger.

I don't think that the format we are writing the -land articles in is working. I think it is too hard to write sections on the different lands at for example Tomorrowland at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland etc. I think it should just be one article and if there are any major differences between international lands such as colour scheme differences between Tomorrowland MK and Tomorrowland DLP we should note them - but not make sub-articles on the different versions of the lands.

Post back soon! By the way I like your new Mouse Street site! Andy 20:34 24 March 2005 (GMT)Hi again. I have just downloaded AIM, I think I have added you correctly. I am on the Internet nearly every night on both MSN and AIM, come on! I have also just added a timeline to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and I am about to start working on those land articles. + == Tapestry of Nations move ==

- I would really like to speak to you about the 50th celebration....post back soon. Andy 13:52, 27 March 2005 (GMT)

[edit] Tapestry of Nations move

Thanks for moving the ToN to the correct capitalisation; however, please don't just copy-and-paste the content into a new article — rather use the "move" button at the top of the page. This way, the complete edit history of a page is kept for the edification of any other editors coming along later. Dewet 06:58, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Monorail

Where is this official name given? I'm seeing "Walt Disney World Monorail" and "Walt Disney World monorail system" on official Disney sites. --SPUI (talk) 09:35, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Eh? I don't see any text on the side of the trains in the photos on [1]. Was it added recently, or is it too small to see? Also, is it all caps (and hence could have monorail and system lowercase)? --SPUI (talk) 09:43, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Ah, thanks. [2] shows it more clearly. Unfortunately it's all caps, so it's not clear if monorail and system are meant to be lowercase. --SPUI (talk) 09:51, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hi...

Hi. My name is Brandon. As I looked at the Tower of Terror page again...it did look a little overloaded. Thanks for cleaning it up. I have several Walt Disney World pictures from my recent trip at Christmas time. I also have several from Disneyland Resort. see you online. thanks, Brandon : )

[edit] King Arthur's Carrousel

I think it needs to be explicitly stated that it's Carrousel not Carousel (the "(sic)" is not at the beginning and not every understands what it means). I suspect people will continue to change it thinking it's a typo unless it's the first thing you read in that section. Either a "(NOTE: "Carrousel" is not misspelled.)" or worked into the text should do quite well. Cburnett 06:10, Apr 25, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Disney TV shows

Hi!

I noted you redirected my new "Disneyland TV show" entry to the "Disney anthology page". Quite correct, thank you.

A suggestion: I think all the different show names should be available as search words, and re-directed to the anthology page.

Is this correct Wikipedia practice? Would you like to do it? User:85.76.95.40

[edit] How dare you

How dare you to accuse me of vadalism. Who do you think you are? Before you accuse anybody of anything go to the dicussion page and talk about it. My information came from the following sources: [3] and [4] Next time I expect a little more respect from you, if you don't know anything about me check my User page and you will see that I'm not the kind of person who will around vandalizing anybody elses work, O.K? Marine 69-71 02:48, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

One more thing before you threaten me or any other wikipedian again, I suggest that you read Wikipedia-Vandalism. Do You Understand? Marine 69-71 03:49, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

O.K., let's bury the hachet and as Davey Crockett would most likely have done with the Indians, smoke the peasce pipe. Marine 69-71 03:59, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Retaining sources

Please do not delete citations of sources as you did here. Sources should be retained because they show where authors found their facts even if they are outdated. An internet source that becomes unavailable may still be found in an archive. Furthermore, in this case it was an online copy of a paper source. —Theo (Talk) 10:29, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit]  ???

Indeed I have been on holiday, to Italy for two weeks. I got back from Rome yesterday, and this is the first thing I have done on Wikipedia for a while. Has anything that I should know about happened? Anything of importance on the Disney pages? How are you by the way? Still sippin' the Mountain Dew?--Speedway 10:11, August 22, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikimedia UK/Wikimania 2006

Hi, this is a circular to Wikipedians in Ireland to draw your attention to Wikimedia UK, where the establishment of a local Wikimedia chapter for the United Kingdom (and possibly for the Republic of Ireland) is being discussed. See the talk page, as well as the mailing list; a meetup will take place to discuss matters in London in September, for anyone who can get there. On another topic, plans are being drawn up for a UK bid for Wikimania 2006, which would be conveniently close to Ireland. On the other hand, Dublin's bid was one of the final three last year - might we bid again? --Kwekubo 03:54, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I saw your statement on the edit and started a topic on it on the related talk page. You might want to give your opinion as well. --Mitsukai 00:47, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Walt Disney

Hi! I see you are also patrolling Disney for vandalism. I caught a pretty extensive one on Disneyland yesterday. However, I think your comment in the edit summary was a bit harsh - I wouldn't call that vandalism. Disney's Spanish origin has popped up now and then, ever since it was "documented" in the book "Hollywood's Dark Prince" (a book which is just rubbish, IMHO, just so you know my stand... ;-) However, it is a persistent, even if untrue rumor, so I wouldn't really call that vandalism. Maybe this particular edit was actually made in good faith? --Janke | Talk 06:59, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Suburbanlegends.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Suburbanlegends.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Carnildo or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you.

[edit] Sleeping Beauty castle photo

Can you please add the source for this photo to its description page? It doesn't say who took it or where it came from, and it's used in a lot of places, so this needs to be fixed. Thanks. Elf | Talk 19:32, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. Now I'll be able to sleep peacefully! ;-) Elf | Talk 00:00, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "World's End"?

Where are you getting the name "World's End" from, for the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie? Where has this title been announced - would you please give me a link to the press release? And if there is no press release, if this title is nothing more than a rumor, then would you please stop putting it into articles? - Brian Kendig 03:25, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Nope, the title has not yet been announced, as far as I know. Several sites are claiming that the title is "World's End", and they cite WIkipedia as the source for this title, which in turn has cited an article on ComingSoon.net [5], which in turn cites a guy who works at a Disney Store in the UK and someone "happened" to mention this title to him. I don't think that's a reliable enough source. I'm going to remove "World's End" from the WP articles which mention it. - Brian Kendig 03:48, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] disney - removed 'see also'

You said See also - Removed Magic Kingdom attractions from the See also section. I don't understand why it relates to Disneyland other than the fact that they are similar parks with similar attractions. Which, being the one who put it there, is exactly why I added it. As to whether it should be put back or not.... SpikeJones 10:46, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Aquabats

Not all the names were there, It should be all or none.

^_^

[edit] Ryan Avery

Because of your edits on the Aquabats]] article, I was hoping you would look at this article on Aquabat Cadet, forum moderator, and fellow performer Ryan Avery (whose band is opening for Aquabats in Arizona), and lend your comments on the corresponding AfD. [edit] yo gabba gabba

alright, so we have confirmed that muno and brobee are from the aquabats, and plex is just a robot. but at least i have a picture of cyclopsis on my t shirt (of course hes slightly different than muno), where are any pictures of wally the brocollie bumblebee anywhere?!

[edit] DeLorean/De Lorean

I noticed that you changed "DeLorean" to "De Lorean" on Gran Turismo 4. TTBMK, it's "DeLorean", and that seems to be the preferred spelling in a Google news search. Do you have information to the contrary? ENeville 17:15, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. Confusingly, "DeLorean" appears quite frequently in the articles, ironically even in the "Delorean vs. DeLorean vs. De Lorean" section of De Lorean Motor Company. ENeville 21:09, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Suburbanlegendslogo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Suburbanlegendslogo.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:21, 5 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BJTalk 01:21, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Suburbanlegendslogo.gif

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Suburbanlegendslogo.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BJTalk 02:52, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Suburbanlegendslogo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Suburbanlegendslogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] My apologies

I'm sorry for the confusion there. I saw no edit summary, all I saw was removal of text with no explanation, so I automatically assumed vandalism. It's sort of become second nature. I apologise for any and all confusion I've caused. Dac 09:39, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
