Lybid (Ukrainian: Либідь) is a small river, a right tributary of Dnieper flowing within the territory of Kiev, Ukraine. There is a legend that it was named after the sister Lybid of the legendary founders of Kiev, Kyi, Schek and Khoryv. The name itself means "swan" and it is a common East Slavic epithet for elegant women, moving with grace: "she walks as a swan swims" (словно лебедем плывет).
