The Luxiole (ルクシオール) is a fictional flagship from the strategy/dating sim series of games based in the universe of Galaxy Angel. Unlike its predecessor the Elle Ciel, the Luxiole was designed to function as a battleship as well as a ship of peace.
Commanded by the Legendary Hero Tact Mayers, it functions as the base and home of the Rune Angel Troupe, successors to the Moon Angel Troupe.

[edit] Ship profile
The flagship of the interspace patrol fleet and its commander Commodore Tact Mayers, the Luxiole was created by combining know-how gleaned from the Elle Ciel and new technologies from EDEN (the semi-legendary world liberated by the Elle Ciel and the Moon Angel Troupe in Galaxy Angel: Eternal Lovers).
Like its predecessor, it was designed to function as a ship of peace. However, it was also designed to be an incredibly powerful warship as well.
[edit] Facilities
Like the Elle Ciel, the Luxiole is designed primarily as a ship of peace, and so is equipped with many comforts that one would not find on a military ship. These comforts would allow the Luxiole to keep guests comfortable during visits or during negotiations.
The Luxiole is made up of numerous blocks. During the adventure portions of each chapter of the game, Kazuya can explore each block to improve his relationships with the Angel Troupe members, thus boosting their abilities in battle and the likelihood of a good ending for the player's chosen Angel. The Angels are easily found, with icons of their faces appearing on the in-game map in the rooms that they are in.
[edit] Capabilities
As would be expected of the successor to the already powerful Elle Ciel, the Luxiole is an awe-inspiring warship. It is capable of holding its own against foes that could reduce its predecessor to scrap.
The Luxiole uses powerful Chrono String Engines for propulsion, and is capable of entering Chrono Space (the Galaxy Angel equivalent of hyperspace). This state is known as Chrono Drive. While this is not unusual since other vessels of the Galaxy Angel universe are capable of the same feat, the Luxiole is able to both enter and exit Chrono Space much faster than most other ships, including the Elle Ciel.
Like the Emblem Frames, the Luxiole is equipped with shields. However, while the Emblem Frames have both shields and maneuverability to help them survive battles, due to the Luxiole's size and subsequent loss of mobility its best chances to survive a battle is not to get involved at all. By deactivating its shields and redirecting the energy into the engines, the Luxiole gains a tremendous boost in both speed and mobility.
Furthermore, the Luxiole can also split into two, thus improving the survivability of at least part of the crew. The upper section is heavily armoured and armed, while the lower section contains most of the engines. During the final stages of the game, Tact uses this ability as a delaying tactic, sending the lower section under Coco's command for help and buying time for reinforcements to arrive.
In terms of armaments, the Luxiole is very well-armed. Mounted on either side of the 'wings' are eight long range rail guns. It is also equipped with long range missiles that launch from bays on the upper section of the ship. There are numerous mid-range lasers located on the upper sections of the ship for use in close combat.
Finally, when truly desperate it can be equipped with the incredibly powerful Dual Chrono Break Cannon. Far more powerful than even the Elle Ciel's Chrono Break Cannon, this massive weapon system requires all of the Luxiole's energy to be focused into it and creates twin energy beams that combine into a devastating spiraling beam.
[edit] Crew
While it is never specifically stated how many crew members there are aboard the Luxiole, judging by the sheer size of the vessel, the number is likely to reach the hundreds.
While the games mostly depict the activities of a small portion of the crew (specifically the command crew, the Angel Troupe and certain notable members such as the ship's doctor and assorted chiefs), on occasion other crew members appear or get involved.
Besides a large number of engineers who maintain the ship itself and the Emblem Frames, the crew includes security teams and medical teams as well.
Notable crew members include:
