Lutron Electronics Company, Inc. is a privately held corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells lighting control systems and a variety of other related products. Its world-wide operations are headquartered in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of the state.

Its founder and owner Joel Spira was the inventor of the world's first solid state dimmer in 1961, which served as the basis of Lutron's early business. Since that time, Lutron has expanded its offerings to over 10,000 products. Today it is one of the world's leading lighting control companies for both residential and commercial applications. Lutron is particularly noted for its innovation, high quality control standards, significant investment in research and development, and large portfolio of intellectual property. The five stated principles of the company are:

  • Take care of the PEOPLE.
  • INNOVATE with a HIGH STANDARD OF QUALITY.
  • Deliver VALUE to the CUSTOMER.
