Lutheran High School of Orange County is a private, Christian high school in Orange, California founded in 1973.[1] LHSOC is currently led by executive director Kenneth Ellwein. The school also finds its staff-leadership in Gregg Pinick and vice principal of academics, Kent Schlichtemeier.
The school hosts 1,150 (full-time equivalent); 1,250 total (including students taking at least one class online)

The school's purpose is to help students internalize the Gospel message of salvation in Christ Jesus. While always striving for excellence in its core values.
The school is not only known for its prestige in academics, but also for its sports-program. In December 2006, Orange Lutheran became the Division I California State champions in football.
The Alexander Nechita Center for the Arts, which is named after renowned artist and student Alexandra Nechita, hosts award-winning student productions of musicals, choral concerts, and band concerts. The school's musical theater program was recently invited by the American High School Theatre Festival to represent the school in the 2007 "Fringe Festival" in Scotland.[2]
