Lutheran High School (La Verne, California)

Lutheran High School La Verne (also known as Faith Lutheran), is a small Lutheran High School in La Verne, California. It was founded in 1973 and the first two years only accepted Freshmen and Sophmores. The Current principal is Jeremy Lowe As of the 2006-2007 schoolyear it has just under 200 students. It is known for its NJROTC program which used to be a requirement for students. It is part ot the (LCMS branch of the Lutheran Church.

The school made local news in 2003 when the soccer team got in to a brawl with the opposing team. It was the second round CIF playoff game and Lutheran high was losing already. However, with about 5 minutes left in the game a player from the other team attacked a player on Lutheran High's team, chaos ensued. The player who started it was arrested. The other team was permitted to continue on with the playoffs but was only allowed one substitutes.
