Lusíada University

The Lusíada University (Universidade Lusíada, pron. IPA: [univɨɾsi'dad(ɨ) lu'ziɐdɐ]) is a Portuguese private university. It was founded in Lisbon, Portugal in 1986. It later opened branches in the Portuguese cities of Oporto and Vila Nova de Famalicão, and abroad in Angola at Luanda, Benguela, and Cabinda. It is one of seven recognized universities, both private and public, in Angola [1].

The university's motto is sol lucet omnibus ("The sun shines equally over everyone").
