Lupita Ferrer

Lupita Ferrer (born December 6, 1947) is a Venezuelan telenovela actress.
Ferrer was born Yolanda Guadalupe Ferrer in Maracaibo to Spanish immigrant parents. She became famous for her beauty (especially her large and expressive eyes) and her strong theatrical presence. Her first telenovelas were Esmeralda, about a blind young woman, Mariana de la Noche (1975), about the forbidden love of Mariana Montenegro and Ignacio Lugo Navarro (José Baldina), María Teresa, a woman who goes insane after the loss of her little daughter, La Zulianita, and Cristal. Now she lives in Mexico.
She was briefly married to the American film director Hall Bartlett, who cast her alongside Anthony Quinn in his film The Children of Sanchez (1978), better known for its Grammy award winning musical score by Chuck Mangione.
In 2006 she made a cameo in the American dramedy series Ugly Betty, in which she played an actress in a telenovela who gets into a fight with a nurse on the show played by (Ugly Betty series creator) Salma Hayek.
