Lunchtime Live

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lunchtime Live, also referred to as Lunchtime Live with Kay Burley, is a two-hour weekday show in the United Kingdom on Sky News, hosted by Kay Burley. Usually airing between 12pm and 2pm, the show combines rolling-news coverage with reports on various "human interest" stories. Additionally, regular updates are given on headline stories as well as business and sports news.

On Wednesdays, when the House of Commons is in session, the programme incorporates live coverage of Prime Minister's Questions. In these circumstances, the show typically starts a few minutes earlier than normal, enabling Burley to introduce proceedings before the start of PMQs.

In June 2006 it was announced that Kay Burley would also be presenting Five News in addition to her role in the show.

Since its launch in 2005 the show has proved to be very successful. Mark Longhurst, Anna Jones, Lorna Dunkley, Martin Stanford, Steve Dixon, Martin Popplewell and Allan King have all presented the show since its launch.
