Lunawada is a city and a municipality in Panchmahal district in the Indian state of Gujarat. Lunawada gets its fresh water from Panam river. Places to see are Luneshwar Temple, Hanumaan ni Veari, Kakachiya Triveni Sangam, Panam Bridge, Jawahar Baug, Fateh Baug, Fuvara Chawk,Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kisan Madhyamik Vidyalaya.

Lunawada was founded by maharaja vir bhadra singh as the virpur state and after that it had been converted to LUNAWADA state. The last ruler of LUNAWADA was MAHARAJA VIR BHADRA SINGH. The best historical place near lunawada is KALESHWARI where you can find healthy atmosphere as well as PANDAV CHORI / FOOT PRINT OF BHIM / VERY OLD WATER KUND / VAAV and shiv temple.
