Lumison is a UK Internet service provider based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was known as edNET from 1996 to 2004.
Lumison provides standard BT Wholesale DSL products for broadband access in addition to LLU SDSL products from a limited number of exchanges in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It also provides Internet access via leased line or LAN Extension, shared web site and e-mail hosting, co-located and dedicated server hosting, and co-location services.
Lumison was founded in Leith as edNET in 1996, where its head office remains. It rebranded to the name Lumison in August 2004, and opened a 10,000 square foot dedicated datacentre on a greenfield site in Newbridge, Edinburgh in October 2004.
"Edinburgh Networks Limited" (edNET) still exists today as the umbrella parent company of Lumison, and it's two sister companies nPlusone, a Voice over IP centrex provider and Lightershade a web design agency.
