Luke Ronchi

Luke Ronchi (Born April 23, 1984) was born in Dannevirke, Manawatu, New Zealand. Ronchi, has played for many teams which include Hampshire Cricket Club and The Western Warriors. Ronchi, who stands at 1.80 metres, earnt the nickname from his mates of "Rocks".
He is a right-handed batsmen, whose main fielding role is wicket-keeper. Since the retirement of former wicket-keeper batsmen Ryan Campbell he has been the number one replacement wicket-keeper for the Western Warriors international Adam Gilchrist who is often unavailable because of international duties. He is an attacking opening batsmen who has a first-class strike rate of 81.75.
On 7 February 2007, Luke Ronchi broke the record for the fastest one-day domestic one hundred in Australian cricket. Opening the batting against New South Wales, Ronchi scored his maiden one-day ton off an astonishing 56 deliveries, beating the previous record of fellow West Australian Adam Voges by six deliveries. When finally dismissed, he had scored 105 runs from just 64 balls and easily guided WA to an 8-wicket victory over NSW.
