Luke Davies (born 1962, Sydney) is an Australian writer.

He is known for his novel Candy, recently made into a film starring Heath Ledger. His other works include another novel, Isabelle the Navigator, and poetry Four Plots for Magnets, Absolute Event Horizon, Running With Light and Totem.

He is currently on an Australia Council writers' fellowship and has worked variously as a teacher, journalist and script editor. Luke Davies' collection of poetry Absolute Event Horizon was shortlisted for the 1995 Turnbull Fox Phillips poetry prize
