Luke Davenport is a fictional football (soccer) player who appeared on the British drama Dream Team, about the equally fictitious Harchester United. He is played by Neil Newbon.

Squad Number: 11, Age: 25, Position: Striker, Signed from: Barcelona, Transfer fee: Harchester's record signing to-date, £28 million. Imagine the bastard love children of David Beckham, Teddy Sheringham and Clint Eastwood, but subtract the shallow end. Luke's not at Harchester to make friends, have a good time, pull women and drive fast cars- but he does. The lifestyle is subsidiary to the fact that he just wants to be the best footballer in the world. Luke character is possibly the love child of David Beckham, Teddy Sheringham and Clint Eastwood, but you should subtract the shallow end. He is very confident but that's mistaken for arrogance. He is also very successful with the ladies.

A serious eye problem that he was born with was made worse when Luke suffered a bad head injury against Chelsea. This resulted in the loss of an eye and the end of his football career.
