Luke Chambers (born August 29, 1985 in Kettering) is an English footballer. He is a promising young defender for Nottingham Forest FC. Chambers is 5"11 ft and weighs 11st 0lbs.
Northampton Town FC
A product of the youth system at the team he supports, Northampton Town F.C., Luke signed his first senior contract on 26 April 2003 and he established himself as a first team regular almost immediately. Chambers made a total of 109(15) appearances for Northampton Town, scoring just the one goal in the league, against Swansea City.
Nottingham Forest FC
Forest stole the youngster Chambers for free on Tuesday January 30, 2007. The transfer also includes a sell-on clause and Chambers is ineligible to play against Northampton Town in what would have been his home debut for Forest. He rejoined former Northampton boss Colin Calderwood and had been a long-term target for current boss Calderwood since he arrived at the City Ground in May 2006. Chambers has been allocated squad number 3. Chambers' Forest career has consisted mostly of appearances from the subs bench, however he made his full Forest debut on March 10th, 2007, against League One leaders Scunthorpe with the following week making his full home debut against Gillingham. Chambers has impressed since arriving at the Reds and is tipped to become a key player in the future.
