[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Understanding-the-revolution-controller-20050916041026412-000.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Understanding-the-revolution-controller-20050916041026412-000.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 07:33, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Mysterysymbolcircle.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mysterysymbolcircle.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:11, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Oozaru Vegeta.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Oozaru Vegeta.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Slowking Man 11:36, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your edits to Luigi and Image:Luigi.jpg
First: Please get a consensus on the talk page before replacing the image. Personally, I don't see what's wrong with the current one. It is his current appearance. Second: Please don't replace the current image with the new one. Instead, create one called Image:Luigi2.jpg or something. –Llama man 22:12, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent moves
I have noticed that you made all of the Yoshi pages use their Japanese names just because one of them (Yoshi Topsy Turvy) does. I don't believe this should happen. Because the main reason is that for Topsy Turvy, the name was only used in the U.S. Universal gravitation applies to every country but the U.S. But this does not apply to ALL Yoshi Games however. I think that the pages you moved should be reverted back to their original names unless it is a similar situation as Yoshi Topsy Turvy. I may do the reverts myself. [edit] Box art
Please stop replacing box art on articles for american box art. It is against wikipedia policy, and there is absolutely no reason why every box art on wikipedia should be the american image. Timkovski 10:45, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see how it's against policy, but it's definitely not necessary to replace articles' box art. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 00:47, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.
There has been a lengthy debate on this at Talk:Wii Play and changing an article's box art just to suit your own region is considered vandalism. Also, contrary to what you stated here; [1], this is NOT the north american wikipedia, this is the English language wikipedia. Timkovski 10:03, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
Please stop this, you are just causing trouble. Also, the images you are uploading are too high in resolution. The copyright tag for video game images specifies that the image is low resolution. As well as to replacing cover art images with 'updated' ones with a big players choice logo on the front, this is useless as the players choice logo hides part of the artwork. Thankyou. Timkovski 10:03, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Nintendo Gamecube111.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Nintendo Gamecube111.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Pagrashtak 22:47, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Do not add false license information
Simply changing the license tag to GFDL will not solve this issue. The source page does not indicate GFDL, and in fact has a copyright notice (although I suspect this image is copyrighted by Nintendo). Adding false copyright information is considered vandalism. Do not upload any more images to Wikipedia until you are familiar with Wikipedia's image policies, particularly Wikipedia:Fair use and Wikipedia:Image use policy. Pagrashtak 23:59, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
